Cool site.

My brother , who lives in Oakville, suggested I ask any of you about my Canary. I have not found an answer locally. My bird has apparently stripped off the soft part of his flight feathers leaving just the quill. He is frustrated in that he can't get from one perch or floor to perch more than 5"-6" apart. What can cause him to do this to his feathers?

I'm planning on attending the next meeting on the 7th, but in the meantime, I thought I try here first.

Our 13 year old budgie died a short while ago (his buddie died at 11 a couple of years ago) and we already miss the happy noises, trilling and antics. We're ready for another pair of budgies.

I'm not looking for anything specific. Our choice of bird will mainly depend on gut feeling and how it reacts to us. We're after 2 but not really interested in breeding them -- just looking for some new feathered buddies.

If there is anyone out there who has some young'uns (preferably hand fed) they would like to sell, please feel free to get in touch with me.

first pair which are red faces have just started building there nest.
second pair are 2 masked birds but think they my be brother and sister so wanting a other pair for these to pair up.
